German shepherds shed only once a year...but it lasts for 365 days! If you want a life without dog fur around, don't get a GSD...I'm still finding Lotte's white hairs around 4 years after her death. So, vacuums and swiffers are my friends and I have learned to live with the hair everywhere and enjoy the 5 minutes of hair free floors after a good swiffer.

Did I tell you that I use the tape lint roller on Lottie? She loves it!! She'll sit for me and watch me while i roll the tape over her back. She occasionally wants to bite the roller or play with it, but i just stop rolling until she sits still again. It's like a treat for her, LOL! And I think it works better than a brush...Certainly it keeps the hair from flying somewhere else. It's also a relaxing activity for both of us, LOL!!!!

Well, Roman's hair is beyond the help of a lint roller...I sometimes just vacuum HIM directly with the small hose!
